Bell Lane was a dream that came true in 2012, after business and passion for great coffee combined.
We met a master roaster and between us set to work creating the great signature coffee that went beyond anything else on the market.
Through hard work and dedication, we created many award-winning blends, all hand roasted in small batches in Mullingar, County Westmeath.
When we were attending the London Coffee Festival in 2012, we were just doing some research for our fledgling business. During our trip, we came across a street named Bell Lane, and the name just felt perfect.
Our logo was designed in a caffeine-fueled late night kitchen table design session. It symbolises our determination to grow, and always reach new heights.
To us, owning our own business is second nature. We were both raised in business families. Surrounded by hard working, successful people taught us lessons about business from childhood on.
Before Bell Lane, Stephen spent twelve years in the hospitality industry, seven of those in a well-known coffee roastery. He is now one of the few certified coffee Q Graders in Ireland.
Denise worked for 10 years in the finance sector after gaining a marketing degree. When juggling a business and a young family, her creativity and drive resulted in her being shortlisted for Image Businesswoman of the Year 2015.
Our coffee regularly wins coffee industry awards. Bell Lane Coffee has won twelve stars at the famous Great Taste Awards, and we’ve been commended at the Blas Na H’Eirann and the Irish Cafe Quality Food Awards.
Our Dragonfly Espresso picked up Three Star Gold at the 2014 Great Taste Awards, and we hope you’ll agree, it’s a really special coffee.
Here at Bell Lane we have a team of eight, and every one of us bring unique skills and knowledge to the table. We all share Stephen and Denise’s passion for great coffee, and a desire to create.
We never stop learning. Training for our employees is ongoing. We’re continuously developing new ways to bring you great coffee.
Our success is down to hard work, dedication, and a passion for creating delicious coffee. We hope you love tasting our coffee as much as we enjoy making it.
Every roastery needs a Master Roaster. Ours is Paul Mooney. Paul has been roasting coffee for 25 years, and what he doesn’t know about coffee could be written on a coffee bean. His creativity with coffee is what’s behind our unique, award-winning blends.
